Full Job Description

Position Title: “Director of Welcome” - Receptionist / Data Entry
Department: Front Office
Reports To: Office Manager
Status: Full Time

Compensation:

$10.00 - $12.00 per hour plus team bonuses. Also includes PTO and paid holidays.

Position Summary:

Serve our customers so extraordinarily that they tell their friends and family about our agency. By using rapport building and excellent communication skills, this role will work to solve customer’s problems effectively and efficiently. This includes being the first point of contact on all service items and only passing on those that require a licensed agent. This is an entry-level position that can lead to becoming an Associate Account Manager (once an insurance license has been obtained).

Position Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change:

  • Be first in line to answer the phone and welcome clients into the office.
  • Take payments and give customers a receipt.
  • Handle basic billing questions.
  • Notify customers of late payments.
  • Input quotes into our rating system.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate to the customers to manage expectations both via phone and email.
  • Follow up on all applications until they are signed and received.
  • Verify discount and other documentation has been received.
  • Run agency reports.
  • Proactively work with Account Managers to take on non-licensed tasks.
  • Perform additional functions at the direction of management.

Experience Requirements & Skills:

  • No previous insurance experience is required.
  • Previous admin experience is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and calculator.
  • Type quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Organized, structured, punctual and will follow the rules.
  • Patient, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, supportive, articulate, kind, ethical and honest.

Education:

  • High school diploma
  • Business School training is a plus.

Processor for Personal Insurance

Full Job Description

Position Title: Processor for Personal Insurance
Department: Personal Lines Service
Reports To: Lead Personal Lines Agent
Status: Non-Exempt / Full Time

Compensation:

$12.00 - $14.00 per hour plus individual and/or team bonuses. Also includes PTO and paid holidays.

Position Summary:

To assist Personal Account Managers in processing of new and renewal personal lines business. To provide in-house support to the agents and producers as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Verification of Insurance from mortgagees, lienholders, dealerships, and related entities. These inquiries come by phone, fax, email, and snail mail.
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance to escrow officers, lenders, and bank for new and existing customers per the instructions provided by requestor.
  • Billing questions from clients. Learn to self-handle all these inquiries and properly direct the client to make payment.
  • ID Cards – Proof of insurance for autos. Properly issue to clients as requested.
  • Basic claims questions & contacting adjusters when needed. Learn to and properly manage claims scenarios for clients until closure of claim.
  • UW Memos- Handle or assist agents with underwriting memos, gathering information from clients, responding to insurance companies, and handling related questions and data until the underwriting process is complete.
  • Mortgagee Changes – Process, follow and assure completion of mortgagee changes on insurance policies.
  • Loss Payee Changes – Process, follow and assure completion of loss payee on insurance policies.
  • Cancelled Policy List (Once per week) – Review, update Agency Management system, set suspense for the cancelled policy list from Agency Management system and work with all agents to assure this list always remains up to date.
  • Work suspense’s in Agency Management system of your own and those that are given to you by other teammates until full and proper completion of the task.
  • Assist with quoting and applications when needed at the direction of your teammates.
  • Help teammates when needed as directed.

Experience Requirements & Skills:

  • No previous insurance experience is required. We will train and educate the successful candidate. However, having previous experience working within the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a calculator
  • Type quickly and accurately
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Organized, structured, punctual and will follow the rules.
